Where we work
Reaching out to disabled children around the world
In Africa and Asia, as many as 1 child in 10 has some kind of disability. All they ask is for the chance to be treated like other children, to go to school, to learn new skills and to develop their abilities. We need to change their reality and make this happen. This is why we began School 4 All. Leonard Cheshire Disability started our School 4 All work in 2002 with five schools in Oriang, Kenya. From there it spread to India where inclusive education projects were started in a number of areas. We have now started similar projects in Botswana, South Sudan, Sierra Leone, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the Philippines. But this vital work needs to grow and spread further still – and with your support, it can.Our first inclusive education project was set up in Oriang, Western Kenya in 2002.
We now have four inclusive education projects in India and the difference they are making to disabled children is incredible.
Bringing you closer to our work. We want to bring you news and updates from the field.
Children, parents, families, teachers, leaders,... whole communities are benefitting from our inclusive education work.
